At Commissions.gg, our goal is for our payment system to protect both creators and clients.
We're still fine-tuning this system as we go, but this is how it's currently functioning at launch:
How Payments & Escrow Currently Work
Currently, payments are held within our escrow system and released to you depending on your withdrawal schedule in your Wallet settings.
Withdrawals
Once your funds are available, they will automatically withdraw to your preferred payment method, such as PayPal or Stripe, depending on your settings.
You can choose your preferred withdrawal schedule:
- Daily
- Weekly
- Bi-Weekly
- Monthly
How will this change in the future?
We plan to keep the same escrow system, but instead of the funds being available for withdrawal daily, its going to be available based on either: client approval of released funds, or commission completion.
You can request the client to release funds early, and if they approve, you can still withdraw on your own time (daily, weekly, etc). If the client declines, the funds will be released upon commission completion.
Why This System Works for Everyone
- Reduces Chargebacks & Fraud - Holding funds in escrow prevents clients from charging back payments unfairly.
- Creator has the choice to request funds early - If you want the funds before the commission is complete, you can request funds to be released.
- Client assumes responsibility when releasing funds - If the clients trusts the creator already, they can choose to release the funds early.
- Encourages Reliability - Delivering commissions on time helps you earn trust.
- Adds a Layer of Security - Clients will feel at ease knowing that their funds will be held safely in our escrow until commission completion.
