We know how devastating it can feel to have a false review on your record. And because reviews are so important for your reputation on Commissions.gg, we take these cases seriously and want to help you handle them!
Below is how to tell if a review breaks our rules and how to report it.
1. When a review should be reported
Please report a review if it:
- Makes claims that are clearly false or don’t match what happened.
- Attacks you personally instead of talking about the work.
- Talks about something that didn’t take place on Commissions.gg.
If you’re on the fence, you can still report it. Our team will decide whether it breaks our guidelines.
2. Gather a bit of proof
Before you send a report, it helps to collect:
- Screenshots of the commission/order details.
- Screenshots of key messages between you and the client.
- A short note explaining which parts of the review are wrong and why.
This doesn’t need to be long, just enough to explain what happened.
3. How to report a review
- Open your creator profile and go to the Reviews tab.
- Find the review you’re worried about.
- Click the three buttons on the right of the review, and then click Report
- Choose the reason that best fits (false info, harassment, spam, etc.).
- Add a short explanation and any relevant details or evidence.
4. What our team does
After you report a review:
- We look at the review, your explanation, and any related information on the platform.
- If needed, we may contact you or the client for more info.
- If the review breaks our rules, we remove it or take other appropriate action.
5. What you’ll see after
Once we’ve finished reviewing, we’ll let you know the outcome. If the review is found to be false or against our guidelines, it will be removed from your profile. If we decide it’s valid, it will stay up.
No matter what, you’re welcome to leave reply to any review. This can show future clients how you handle issues.
6. Reducing issues with reviews
You can’t prevent every problem, but you can lower the chances:
- Communicate clearly and keep expectations in writing.
- Save key messages and agreements.
- Ask happy clients to leave honest reviews so your overall profile stays balanced.
