Understanding how the commission process works will help ensure smooth transactions between creators and clients. Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of how commissions flow on Commissions.gg.
- Creators: Creative professionals that sell commission services.
- Clients: Individuals that pay for commission services.
1. Client Submits a Request
Clients interested in commissioning creators will submit a request detailing what they need. This can include references, descriptions, deadlines, and any specific instructions they have in mind.
2. Creator Reviews the Request
Once a request is submitted, the creator can review the details and decide if they want to accept or decline it based on their availability and interest in the project.
3. Creator Sends a Proposal
If the creator decides to take the commission, they will send a proposal outlining the final price, payment schedule, estimated completion time, and any additional terms.
4. Client Accepts and Pays
The client reviews your proposal and, if they agree, they accept it and proceed with payment. Payment will depend on the schedule you selected.
5. Creator Starts the Commission and Marks It as WIP
Once payment is received, the creator can officially start working. To let the client know they've begun, they mark the commission as “Work in Progress” (WIP).
6. Upload Progress Updates
There is a 'Commission Updates' section within the commission details page where the creator can upload WIP updates for the client to review.
7. Client Reviews WIP
The client can approve or reject the creator's WIP update and provide feedback. If they approve, the creator can proceed to the next step. If they reject it, they will leave comments on what adjustments they’d like.
8. Apply Feedback and Repeat
If revisions are needed, the creator applies the client's feedback and upload another WIP update. This process repeats until all WIP updates are approved.
9. Submit the Delivery
Once all updates have been approved, the creator uploads the final completed work. This marks the end of the commission.
10. Leave Reviews and Receive Tips
After the final delivery, both the creator and the client can leave reviews for each other. The client also has the option to leave a tip as a bonus.
