We understand how frustrating it can be when a creator becomes unresponsive after you've paid for a commission. Commissions.gg has built-in protections to help resolve these situations fairly. Here's what you can do if a creator stops responding.
1. Try Reaching Out Again
Before taking further action, send the creator a follow-up message. They may be busy, dealing with an emergency, or simply missed your last message. Give them some time to respond, but if days go by without a reply, move on to the next steps.
2. Check the Commission’s Deadline
If the commission hasn’t yet reached its estimated delivery date, the creator may still be working on it. However, if the deadline has passed and they haven’t communicated an update, you can proceed with a cancellation request.
3. Request a Commission Cancellation
If a creator remains unresponsive after the deadline has passed, you can request a refund directly through the commission page. The creator will have a chance to respond, but if they fail to do so within a certain period, the commission may be automatically canceled, and you will receive a refund.
Preventing Future Issues
To avoid situations like this in the future, we recommend:
- Checking a creator’s reviews and response rate before ordering. You may choose to prioritize creators who have the "Speedy responder" badge, which indicates that they respond back in a timely manner.
- Choosing creators with a strong track record of completed commissions.
- Communicating expectations clearly before making payment.
- Reading their Terms of Service for information regarding their communication.
Our goal is to ensure a safe and fair environment for all users. If you're experiencing an issue with a creator, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support team at hello@commissions.gg for assistance.
