As a Star Creator, you can use the Promotions feature, an extra tool that helps you bring in new clients and boost sales. It’s part of the Star Creator program, which also helps support the platform so we can keep Commissions.gg running smoothly for everyone!
Why use discounts?
Discounts can make your listing appealing to clients, for the following reasons:
- Encourage clients to place an order instead of “saving it for later”
- Make your pricing stand out next to similar creators
- Reward returning clients and build long‑term loyalty
Types of discounts
1. Percentage discounts
Take a % off certain listings or categories.
Example: “20% off all character commissions this week.”
2. Flat amount discounts
Take a fixed amount off the total.
Example: “$10 off emote bundles.”
You can apply discounts to a single listing, an entire category, or all of your listings at once.
How to set up a discount
- Open your Creator Dashboard.
- Click Promotions in the left navigation.
- Fill in the form (discount amount, what it applies to, start and end date, etc.).
- Publish the promotion.
- (Optional) Use Mass Message to tell your clients and followers about the sale.
Best practices
- Keep discounts in a healthy range, around 10% - 30% is usually enough.
- Avoid running sales nonstop, or clients may start waiting for discounts.
Used thoughtfully, discounts can help you reach new clients and give regulars a reason to come back, without devaluing your work.
